Amthra sat by a cliff, thinking. She was thinking about the day when she would kill her twin sister, when suddenly, a strange teen-aged boy walked by. His name was Driton, and he was wandering as he did every day. He looked over and saw Amthra sitting on the cliff.
"Who are you?" he said sternly. "What are you doing here?"
She turned her head to look at him. "Oh hey," she said. "I'm Amthra. What are you doing here? This is usually my spot. Seems like you're stalking me."
"I'm not stalking you," he said. "I'm just wondering what it is that you're doing here.
"It's where I always sit and plot to kill my sister and her stupid friends. Oh, I can't wait for that day…" she replied. Then she noticed the hood that covered his head and most of his face. "Do you have hair?" she curiously asked. "'Cuz I see that you have a hood, but like do you have hair?"
This angered him. "Yes, I have hair," he replied. "And I also have a fire spell that will disintegrate you instantly!"
Amthra smiled creepily. "Oh really! I'd like to see you try! But I honestly don't want to be set on fire."
He closed his eyes. "I'm going to count to three…" he said, "…and you better be either running away or over the edge of this cliff."
She crossed her legs and said "I'm not leaving." She seemed confident, but was actually in great fear on the inside. Driton got angrier with each second he counted.
"One… two…" He said, but before he could reach three, Amthra grabbed his arm and held it back so he couldn't throw the fire.
"Why can't I just sit here?" She sternly asked.
"Just leave, or I will be forced to kill you!" He shouted.
They looked into each other's eyes for a moment, and then Amthra released his arm and turned away. She shrugged and said "Hope you have fun on this cliff, bye."
"Wait!" he shouted. "Where are you going?"
"Well," she replied "It's pretty obvious you don't want me here, and I don't want to kill you so…"
Driton thought to himself. "There was something different about her. Something special." He started to follow her, when he said "Wait! I need to talk to you!
She turned to face him. "What is it?"
He started to talk, but it was weak and unsure, like he was scared of something. "I'm sorry, but I just… I mean, you're so…"
"Horrible?" She replied with a creepy smile. "I get that a lot. Is that all you wanted to say? Do you need to sit down?" They both sat on the ground.
"No," He said. "I meant that you're so… beautiful."
"R-really?" She asked weakly. She stared at him, but not angrily like she normally had. It was more like confusion.
"Yes," he slowly replied. "I don't know what I'm thinking, but I feel like there is something special inside of you."
"But… but I was born evil… what's so special about that?" She leaned on him.
"You're not evil," he replied. "But nobody has given you the chance to do good." He turned his head so that they were face to face. "You just need a chance… we both do."
"Really?" She asked again and then coughed. "Gah! I need to stop being stupid. But seriously, how do we get people to not think I'm evil?"
"The first step," he said, "Is to not care what other people think. But if someone thinks that you are beautiful," He said, putting his hand on her shoulder, "then embrace that. Enjoy that, and don't let it go.
She thought about this for a moment, and then looked into his eyes. There was a moment when nothing happened, and then she hugged him.
"Yes…" he said. "You are the most beautiful creature in the world, and I will do anything in my power to make sure you know that..."
"Okay…" She sighed. "But why me, though? I'm sure you've seen other girls better than me. You don't know about my past."
"No. I do not care about your past, and never have I met someone so beautiful and yet so misunderstood as you. But I understand you… I have done bad things, too."
"But you don't get it. I was born evil." She replied sadly. "But you say I can change, and I'll agree with you. Have you ever had a sibling, or more so a twin?"
"I had a brother, but he died when I was nine. But I swear, if anyone were to hurt you, I would put them through something worse than death."
"That's really sweet." She said. "Even if that person was my twin? Because I swear I would be okay with that."
"Yes!" He replied excitedly. "I would do anything to help you. Your twin will burn when I'm through with her!" He hugged her tightly.
She leaned into him affectionately. "I'm glad I found you then."
He returned the gesture. "I'm glad you found me too." He kissed her on the cheek.
She looked at him and chuckled. She was blushing and smiling, holding his face in her hands. "Is that the best you can do?" She asked sarcastically.
He kissed her on the lips. "You doubt me!" He pulled her closer. She smiled and they kissed.
"Oh, I never caught your name." she said.
"It's Driton. Driton Elemasan."
"Nice to meet you, Driton." She said affectionately.
